I just glanced through a DART newsletter and learned that large metal recycling bins are now located at various rail stations and transit centers throughout the city. (And yes, I would know this already if I made the effort to ride the rail — guilty as charged.) I think that's fantastic, especially considering how many free publications are picked up and scanned by riders while in transit, but I couldn't help but think that some of our bus stations could benefit from these recycling bins, too. We've recently heard from a number of neighbors complaining about trash littered all around bus stops (e.g. Richmond and Abrams near Minyard's), and this could be one solution to the problem. That, and a good sturdy trash can.
