Yesterday an assistance dog was almost poisoned. Here's the story. The owners luckily found the mound of rat poison in their White Rock-area back yard before sweet Frischa, a small Doberman Pinscher ingested a lethal dose. This is just weird — it looks intentional. Someone placed the poison in the family's backyard. The dog isn't yappy — doesn't hardly leave the house, they say (not that yappy dogs deserve to die ... insert snarky comment here). There's just no motive for something like this. So pet owners, one more thing to look out for.
OK, first off... is anyone able to be a little more specific about which neighborhood this happened in?
Secondly, does anyone else think this might have been a calculated attempt to rob this house... like by disposing of the doberman pincher to gain access to the yard? No mention of that in the news story, but with the amount of burglaries going on around the lake lately, it seems possible.

It looks like that 90's development south of the spillway, but yes that was really poor reporting. Why was Sarah Wilcox standing by a highway interchange? Were channel 5's Tarrant County viewers supposed to think that was the White Rock area?
