Wow, he is paid? I wonder who is funding this petition? It must be expensive, given that large mass mailing last week and now "Oh man, a lot" of people being paid to solicit sigs. I wonder where that money is coming from... Could it be all of the hotels that would lose business if this was built?

Not all of them are pleasant either. When I told one that I was not interested in signing the petition, he asked if I liked potholes in the street, because the roads would not be fixed if this went through. He walked away grumbling when I asked him how much the Crow family was paying him to solicit signatures.

These solicitors are probably being paid by hotel interests, but what's the big deal about that?
