News to me. What happens to Snow Pea?

Kyle

Don't forget it used to be Lim Yee with the famous neon candle sign. As far as I know, the building was still owned by Gene Yee (son of the famous Lim) who graduated from Woodrow in 1966. I heard that in the 1980s when Lincoln Property was trying to buy the whole block from the various owners that Gene was the only holdout. So maybe he's ready for early retirement now...

Lincoln had plans to build something similar to the building on Oak Lawn across from Empire Bread (and the lamented Sharp Hardware) which is north of Al Biernat's -- so maybe Gene saved us from such a huge monstrosity.
