Never heard back from anyone at Sprouts Farmers Market, to see if their Dallas-area expansion plans included a place like Casa Linda or any other similar shopping center in East Dallas. That no one called back is not unusual -- retailers are notoriously tight-lipped about expansion plans. They're terrified they're going to give away a trade secret if they discuss that stuff.
I did check with a couple of Dallas commercial real estate people, including my favorite source, Deep Developer. None had heard anything about Sprouts being interested in this part of town, and one of them asked me why I would even bother to ask about that. Despite the economic and demographic changes around here, he said, we're not Frisco, and companies like Sprouts still want Frisco.
Hurrah!!!! We're still not Frisco! (whew - I was worried about that)

Huh? I guess my impression of Sprouts is a little off. I've only been to the one at Marsh and Forest and the shopping center that it is in has other stores like a 99¢ Store, a shoe store where everything is under $5. In other words, nothing particularly upscale. As a matter of fact I thought the shopping center was pretty run down. Casa Linda seems like a much nicer location.
I would have thought that Sprouts gameplan included going into locations that Whole Foods would not.
I'll see if I can find any articles about Sprouts in the business rags.

Sprouts stock is virtually worthless. But my Whole Foods stock is performing beautifully!!! I highly recommend it!!!
No, I'm not a groupie of John Mackey, Whole Foods' CEO, but I do admire all that he's achieved in life as well as his handsome moustache.
Dump your Sprouts stock now!!! It's worthless!!!
