True to their slogan, Little Forest Hills neighbors kept it funky during this year's Fourth of July parade. The theme was past presidents, and everyone from Mr. T to luchadores (Mexican wrestlers) were campaigning along the parade route.
The winner of the day, however, appeared to be “Mom for president,” judging by the abundance of signs and buttons. The parade ended at Casa Linda Park with lots of cold drinks, freshly-sliced watermelon, and a rousing and touching rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" sung by all neighbors in attendance.
