Another Byte opens at 8939 San Benito Way in Little Forest Hills this Saturday, Sept. 13 and will be open Saturdays and Sundays from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
And what, you may ask, is “Another Byte”? Here’s what I have on it:
Hall’s Landscape (cute web site) and Epicurean Custom Catering have joined together to bring you “the funkiest little café and retail nursery,” according to owners Steve and Marukh Hall who sent us an email about it yesterday.
From their description, it sounds like a farmers market, of sorts, but with extras. In addition to fruits and veggies from local growers, they offer coffee, latte, sandwiches, plants, flowers, landscaping gear, art, sculpture, home and garden accessories … even a chair masseuse. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to check 'em out this weekend and report back.
Nice idea. Unfortunately, someone needs to tell them that they are not a permitted use at the location; and they don't have a restaurant permit. Hopefully, they will take care of these issues before the City catches up with them.
